“Going with the Flow”

How many times have we been told to do this, – you know what I mean go with the flow? For me more times than I want to admit, but what I have found is that I am little bullheaded and someone telling me to go with the flow normally signals my brain to do just the opposite. I dont say that because I enjoy conflict or causing problems. In  fact for the most part I go through my everyday life trying to not make waves, perfectly content sitting alone quietly for any amount of time – able to entertain myself without making a sound, and not in need of friendship, or conversation. So being the guy in school that people had trouble remembering is the norm, being the guy that people thought was a little off in school because he didnt socilaize well was the norm, still is the norm. Here is the thing that I find shocking a great deal of those that then said go with the flow never managed to find their own flow, instead becoming mini parts of whoever they wanted to impress most and trying to drag you down the road to knowhere.

But today, I am feeling a little different about the Flow now I think I should go with it. This Flow I am referring to is the flow of the Annointing of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:17) If you have never witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit working in your life it becomes kind of complicated to understand, but like a good usher I am going to guide you in on this. When Jesus Christ died on the cross he left a reminder within us that he will return and that he would never leave us, this is given to all believers in Christ upon confession this is the Holy spirit. ( The belief in the holy trinity/ Triune, God the Father-God the Son-God the Holy Spirit )

Acts 1:8 says …(I love this part ) But ye shall recieve power, after that the holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jeruselem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermosst part of the Earth.

Acts 2:17 says- In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old me n will dream dreams.Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my spirit in those days and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs in the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And,….(I love this part to) Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

I know because I work with some people that I will not call flakey I will say that they are less than sturdy individuals not grounded in truth so they have no sense of security. I hear all the time, I do the right thing, I treat others fairly and I dont do drugs, that means I have the same right as you have to go to heaven..really.. and that is partially right you do have that god given right and ability but you must confess with your mouth that you want to be forgiven, or the other one is I know the ten commandments and I follow them, …really..so you are saying you are living under the old covenant that was given to moses because of the disobediance of the children of Israel..hmmmm, here is another one that I hear a lot this one at work. Jesus was a good teacher that died a wrongful death, however people are immortal, not originally from this planet we are trapped by matter- space- and time…thats when i say pump your Brakes! John 3:5  Jesus said Verily, Verily I say unto you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

Whats the relevance of all this right.? which flow are you going with? One that leads to eternal salvation with Christ Jesus, or are you looking into another belief created by Theoretical Scientists, or even worse some relative that didnt quite know all the facts. Those facts are in the bible, dont take someone elses opinion look it up yourself its there! If it isnt there, dont believe them. Do your history, look back at this in a linear manner if need be, where does it all line up, and when you are done kneel and pray and ask for more guidance from God, thats what I do. If you want to talk about it let me know, just reply below I really want your opinion.

“I Die Daily”

Sometimes I wonder if people are as honest, trust worthy, as they appear to be, everyone knows someone that you secretly question. Ive heard people say things, and I am guilty myself of saying-it’s just something about that person that i just cant get my hands around, or they make me feel uneasy.Sometimes we are that person and we dont know it. Something that I have noticed as of late speaking of my own experience of course, I feel the need more now than ever to make my circle smaller than it is already. There are so many people that just dont have the same things in mind as I do, it feels like I must have had blinders on because at some time I thought we had something in common and then all of a sudden-Nothing. We dont talk the same, we dont think the same, we dont share the same interests, opinions or hobbies. What was it then that made me think that those persons where close enough at some point to be considered associates, possible friends, acquaintances.
I have been going over this in my mind for a while, but best I can gather is at the time I was comfortable around them, they didnt pose a threat, harmless at the time or at least thats what I thought. If you have never stopped and done a review of your life before Christ was fully in your life try this you will find out some interesting things about yourself– old you.
Have you ever heard the saying “misery loves company?” I had, but I never thought at that time I was miserable, I was not paying attention to the reality, truth is I was living in sin and didnt know how much. I somehow made this about me, and had forgotten all of the teachings and prayer that my mother and grandmother prayed over me, I had forgeotten the reaon that I had given my life to Christ in the beginning. Overlooked the annointing and the calling in my life in order to make life comfortable for me. This is the mistake thinking it is about man, and we can control man right,…It isnt about man. This is spiritual warefare, so unless we are operating in the spirit of God we cannot win the battle so therefore we are decieved and defeated. Being that I gave my life to Christ at an early age I thought I was covered. I read the bible occasionally, went to church often, studied different doctrines and theologies all the time never really fully committing myself,(I stayed on the fence).
It was easier to fulfill the requirements of my job and balance my life if I didnt question certain beliefs of those around me, co workers, employers, or professors. Go with the flow, dont make waves, keep your feelings inside and smile a lot..what a mess. All the while wondering why the guilt when i did venture into church, why was it I felt like something was missing. Something happened and things make sense again, God has a way of snatching you back just when you think you are lost, suddenly the guilt, anger, loneliness, confusion are gone. Then for some reason I dont understand I can see it. What kept me in the situations I was in – me. Disobedience to the will of God, doing what is easy instead of allowing God to work in my life. Waking up to the world and going about my day as if it was a right of mine, Now I realize it is a priveledge.(This took a very painful lesson to get me to see)
Life has a different outlook for me now. God is good and it is because of his mercy and his forgiveness that I am able to have this day. What was it I see when I look back, I see that satan had his hands in my life, putting others close enough to me to keep me distracted from Gods plan for my life. Unknowingly I went along with this tactic not knowing that I was living in sin. Comfort… there is more comfort in knowing that there is a living God and that he will never leave or forsake us. Blessings follow obedience not disobedience. Dont allow other things to distract you, dont allow other people to distract you, close your circle and stay in prayer until you recieve power from the annointing of God.

The Apostle Paul said,” I die daily.” When a person first gives his life to Jesus in order to believe in Him is also the first time that one dies. No one can truly come to Jesus for salvation, unless it’s their intent to do His will. Repentance involves turning from sin and self, and turning to the Lord to serve Him. But the Apostle Paul said, “I die daily.” Even though you may be saved and born again, we hhave to be careful or our selfish, sinful nature will come over us and lead us astray. Remember we where born in sin. No one has arrived to the point where they no longer need to “die daily.” Each day is a new challenge to go one of two ways: the way of your own selfish nature or the way of God; and Paul said that he had learned to die daily.

NIV 1 Cor 15:29-32

29 Now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?

30 And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?

31 I die every day– I mean that, brothers– just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.

32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for merely human reasons, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”(NIV)We are all pieces of divinity playing the game of life. The purpose of any real spiritual path is to become closer to the God from which we came. In order to do this we must let go of the false misconception of ourselves. We must come to terms with things. We must come to the realization that we are not our mind, our body, or some external position. In the process of doing this it is as if the old self is dying Although I am glad i had the opportunity to look back at old Darrin I dont know him anymore we may continue to exist in a certain body and do certain things, but you become unattached to them, as they are no longer you.

God Bless you today!

Who’s choice is it anyway?

When you are torn between understanding a decision and trying to figure it all out this is what I like to call the crate. Sometimes I find myself inside this crate looking out the gaps in the side to try and see if the answer on the outside is something that I am comfortable with before I fully commit to acceptance of the answer. This never works, you can never fully see what the outcome will be until you commit yourself to trying something, I have tried watching others make decisions and using the outcomes of their situation as a baseline- guide to help me to make decisions thinking I can learn from their mistakes like I have always heard others say in the past. There is a flaw with that notion, everyone reacts differently to different situations in their life therefore it isnt possible for everyone to have the same outcome, and if that is flawed than why would I believe that watching someone else make mistakes and doing the opposite could possibly benifit me. So this is like saying that a friend makes horrible investments and suffers financially because of the bad decisions they have made i should not make financial investments just in case…I dont think so

I think that sometimes its best to just get out of the crate itself and look back inside at what the issue was that was keeping you inside the crate. This is when you say enough of this crate talk what is it you are trying to say,..lol ok here is where I am going.
Sometimes God will annoint a person do to a certain mission in life and you have to move out on your faith and do whatever it is that you are supposed to be doing. There is no peaking through the crate to see what the outcome will be, you have to kick the lid off and step out. I believe that when a person is called by God to do something the entire idea that you have a choice in the matter is incorrect. You may be a free thinker and believe that you have the final say in all matters pertaining to you but that isnt correct. What you are experiencing is commonly referred to as disobedience. Luke 6:46 says-Why do you call me Lord and not do what I tell you?I dont know about you but that is pretty powerful. When God has a need for us to do something we are to be humble servants and gladly do whatever he wants us to do, regardless of what the impact or effect will be on us- we do not that the bible tells us that God will never leave us or forsake us, so the fact that whatever it is you are doing you will not be alone in the matter if you keep God in it is enough reason to push and complete the mission whatever it is. I dont feel there is enough workers in Christiantiy I know there are plenty of watchers, I think we need to ask ourselves are we doing what God wants us to do or are we being disobedient.

Emerge section 2

23 August 2013 not that you needed a reminder of what todays date is, this is more of a reminder to myself for personal reasons. Todays Blog Emerge! Websters defines the word emerge as: to become manifest, become known, to rise from or as if from an enveloping fluid, come out into view, to rise from an obscure or inferior position or condition, to come into being through evolution.

Acts Chapter 8

4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed [with them]: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

8 And there was great joy in that city.

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and [in] the bond of iniquity.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans

Latin emergere, from e- + mergere to plunge

4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.

6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said.

7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.

8 So there was great joy in that city.

9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,

10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”

11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery.

12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria.

15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money

19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.

22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”

24 Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”

25 After they had further proclaimed the word of the Lord and testified about Jesus, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.

In the days following the Pentecost

Praises in the Atmosphere

I was thinking back about a certain day when i was sitting in Church and the Praise and Worship team started singing this song, “Praises going up-Blessings Come Down” I remember that they kept on going over and over those lyrics until every able member of the congregation had joined in singing those lyrics. Praises going up has changed the way that I have began to look at a lot of things. For example I have noticed on those days when I am not thanking God- things just dont seem right, people around me seem to rub me the wrong way almost intentionally sometimes. I have a tendacy to not think about the good things that have happened in my life as much as I think about the bad things. Ok, so if you kow me the fact that I am even alive is enough reason to send up Praise to God.

Let me give you something to think about. Have ever walked into a room and instantly sensed there was something wrong? Chances are there was. The atmosphere, (when not referring to the gases that surround the earth), is defined as a mood or feeling. So the mood within a room is dictated by what we think, how we act, and by the words we speak. This is true of everyroom everywhere not just places that I hang out to be clear on that. Satan, the devil, Lucifer whatever you decide to call him controls the atmosphere around us, but only if we let him. He is constantly trying to deceive us by trying to influence us in negative ways. We can take control of the atmosphere where we are. It doesnt matter if we are at home, at work, or in a store, you have the authority to change the “air” around you. Ok all things revealed here is what must be done.

By praise and worship! Thats right I said it! Sing praises to God. Psalm 146

1) Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.

2) I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

Whether it is out loud, or in a whisper, when you sing praises to the Lord, the enemy has to flee. tell me you got that, alright I have to say it again because i love to remind myself as well. When you sing praises to the Lord, the enemy has to flee. Im not making this stuff up read your Bible! Satan cannot stand to be in the same room when praises to God are spoken. My opinion is that it reminds him of him being cast out of heaven ( Luke 10: 17-18), and reminds him that he is already defeated and will always be defeated! So exactly what is this praise do?

1)Praise takes our minds off our problems and helps us focus on God.

2)Praise leads us from individual worship to group, as others join in the changing of the atmosphere.

2 Chronicles 5:13 – The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD.

1) Praise helps us appreciate what God does for us.

2)Praise allows us to go from the natural to the heavenly.

The next time you feel heaviness within the air, change it. Put worship music on, sing along with it, or simply speak praises. Then watch how the atmosphere around you shifts from darkness to light, people change from being negative to positive, some people leave the area because they are no longer comfortable, people sensor themselves all because you put your praise on. So here is the thing If the immediate atmosphere around you can be changed by Praise, and God inhabits the Praise of his people, what do you think would happen if large groups of Christians openly praised God in a large group settings, like a group run. So now someone is saying where is Darrin going with this, well i am just putting it out there I think a group run with every available believer singing Gods praises running, or walking through the various neighborhoods in our community would release those Praises and change the atmosphere in those areas! But what do you think?

Be careful who you listen to

“Blessed is the man who walks not on the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat ofbthe scornful. But delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night.” Psalms1:1, 2

It is my interpretation and what I feel is given to me so please if you have a different opinion blog back.
Believers should not recieve counsel from everyone, it isnt wise to hear from everyone. When we go through different eventsof life it is important to have the right people speaking into our lives. The wrong counsel can stop your growth entirely. When you accept ungodly counselor advice you slow your development, or worse. Listen, if you give a plant the wrong food it will die, im sure there are lots of plant foods on the market, but the planter knows what food is best for their plants. I think his is true of god he jnows what we need for our spiritual growth as well.
In the passage above i think David was laying out the blueprint for us on how to be blessed: Do not get counsel from the ungodly, do not stand in the path of sinners, do not sit in the seat of the scornful; delight yourself in the law of the lord, meditate on the law of god day and night.
Its important because we need to know what the word of God says about our situation. The word of God has answers to all situations. When is the last time you found an all inclusive do it yourself book?
When I meditate on Gods word he speaks to my spirit, the same as when I hear encouraging words from Godly counsel.
This gives me strength and endurance to continue the christian journey.
The ugly side, counsel of the ungodly will cause you to give up your marriage, forget your loved ones etc.. This is the dangernof standing in the path of sinners and sitting in the seat of the scornful.if you arent careful ungodly counsel will cause you to miss your blessing. So we are evangelising and are commisioned to witneas to sinners of gods grace and lead them to repentance, we have no reason to be around them outside of that mission. If we want to be blessed we have to do it Gods way.Barefoot= Sendme7
